Aptos Labs Strengthens Leadership with New Chief Business Officer Amid Institutional Growth
Aptos Labs, the developer behind the high-performance Aptos blockchain, has appointed Solomon Tesfaye as Chief Business Officer. Tesfaye previously served as Head of Capital Markets, where he spearheaded the company's real-world asset strategy and cultivated relationships with institutional heavyweights like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Apollo.
The promotion coincides with Aptos crossing $540 million in tokenized real-world assets and doubling institutional integrations since January 2025. Regulatory clarity in the U.S. is creating tailwinds for asset tokenization, positioning Aptos at an inflection point for institutional adoption. Tesfaye's decade of experience spanning investment banking, venture capital, and cross-border asset tokenization will be critical as the network expands.
During his tenure, Tesfaye laid groundwork for Aptos-linked financial products including European exchange-traded products and U.S. spot ETFs. His elevation signals Aptos' ambition to bridge traditional finance with blockchain infrastructure at scale.
